The theme of this year is &#8220;Bayesian Crowd&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topics<\/strong><br \/>\nThis conference is unique in that it brings together people from different backgrounds (economics, psychology, computer sciences, decision analysis) who work on truth-telling or wisdom of crowds, broadly speaking. It offers two days to mingle and present the latest breakthroughs on Bayesian and behavioral methods to elicit true answers from individuals and crowds:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>scoring and incentives<\/li>\n<li>Bayesian truth-serum and related mechanisms<\/li>\n<li>behavioral approaches to promote truth-telling<\/li>\n<li>crowds<\/li>\n<li>individuals<\/li>\n<li>wisdom of crowds and judgment aggregation<\/li>\n<li>prediction markets<\/li>\n<li>identifying experts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Keynote Speakers<\/strong><br \/>\nDavid Budescu, Fordham University<br \/>\nAnna Dreber Almenberg, Stockholm School of Economics<br \/>\nBoi Faltings, \u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract Submission Deadline<\/strong>: March 3, 2019 (Sunday) midnight.<\/p>\n<p>The organizing committee will select papers for presentation at the conference based on abstracts.<\/p>\n<p>All abstracts should be submitted online at http:\/\/bayesiancrowd.com\/abstract-submission.<br \/>\nWe encourage early submissions, and decisions about the abstracts will be communicated on a rolling basis to the authors, and latest by March 17, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Travel awards will be available for PhD students and junior faculty, covering flights and accommodation.
