The details are here: <a href=\"http:\/\/sjdm.org\/\">http:\/\/sjdm.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is why SJDM is our favorite conference:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>quality<\/strong> of the accepted papers is high. See for yourself <a href=\"http:\/\/sjdm.org\/programs\/2018-program.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s limited to <strong>only three tracks<\/strong> which means when you meet someone at a coffee break, you should be able to discuss a talk you have both seen.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s limited to accept <strong>only 100 papers<\/strong> so it&#8217;s not overwhelming.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Over 700 people attend<\/strong> which means you will be able to catch up with lots of people in the field.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s really <strong>affordable<\/strong>. Advance registration was $300 for faculty and $150 for students.<\/li>\n<li>JDM research is <strong>rigorous<\/strong>. The current methods revolution was <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1177\/0956797611417632\">started by JDM scholars<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We go to SJDM even when we don&#8217;t have a presentation accepted there. Lots of people do.
