It&#8217;s too short to drive, so you just walk.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stop deciding what to eat for a week<\/strong>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.decisionsciencenews.com\/2011\/06\/09\/a-diet-of-diet-an-exercise-in-exercise\/\">Worked<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.decisionsciencenews.com\/2011\/06\/15\/the-no-decision-diet-revealed\/\">for us<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eat the same thing for breakfast every day<\/strong> (source: Brian Wansink). He&#8217;s found correlational evidence for this.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use small plates<\/strong> (source: Brian Wansink). Experiments show that this affects consumption (at least during the experiment).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Put money on the line<\/strong> (source: Daniel Reeves). With enough money on the line, it seems like it would just have to work. <a href=\"http:\/\/beeminder.com\">Beeminder.com<\/a> is our nerdy favorite. <a href=\"http:\/\/Stickk.com\">Stickk.com<\/a> is also good<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weigh your food with a gram scale<\/strong>. Pouring 20 grams less cereal in the AM makes a difference. Also, a gram scale is the key to making the perfect pot of coffee. We&#8217;re making a video game of this, but <a href=\"http:\/\/fitday.com\">fitday.com<\/a> is a fun place to start.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t eat more than 500 calories at a time<\/strong>. You&#8217;re probably not hungry 15 minutes after stopping.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Round the calories in fruits and vegetables down to zero. <\/strong><strong><\/strong>WeightWatchers has apparently moved to this in their new point system.
