The objective of the Summer Institute is to provide a platform for genuinely interdisciplinary research, bringing together young scholars from psychology, economics, biology, and philosophy. Its focus will be on the concept of “social rationality” – how rational behavior can emerge from simple heuristics that interact with a social environment. The goal is a deeper understanding of the way Homo sapiens forms decisions in an uncertain social world. Sharing knowledge across disciplines may well challenge the reigning assumptions in each.<\/p>\n
Talented graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from around the world are invited to apply by March 18th, 2011<\/strong>. We will provide all participants with accommodation and stipends to cover part of their travel expenses.
