Guide to data: Experiment 1 is divided into two data sets since we ran two separate studies (exp1 and exp1additionalstudy). Experiment 2 is one study, yet there are two data files (exp2sep.sav and exp2joint.sav). The first data file refers to those participants who were in the separate evaluation condition. The second data file refers to those participants who were in the joint evaluation condition. Given that people in the joint condition responded to both perpetrators, the data needs to be organized differently as opposed to those participants who were in the separate evaluation conditions. This is why there are two data files. Experiment 3 is one study and one file. Experiment 4 is one study, yet given that we have a joint-separate evaluation manipulation there are again two data files (exp4sep.sav and exp4joint.sav). The first data file refers to those participants who were in the separate evaluation condition. The second data file refers to those participants who were in the joint evaluation condition. See guideline Experiment 2 above for the reason why there are two data files. Experiment 5 is one study, yet given that we have a joint-separate evaluation manipulation there are again two data files (exp5sep.sav and exp5joint.sav). The first data file refers to those participants who were in the separate evaluation condition. The second data file refers to those participants who were in the joint evaluation condition. See guideline Experiment 2 above for the reason why there are two data files. Experiment 6 is one study, yet given that we have a joint-separate evaluation manipulation there are again two data files (exp6sep.sav and exp6joint.sav). The first data file refers to those participants who were in the separate evaluation condition. The second data file refers to those participants who were in the joint evaluation condition. See guideline Experiment 2 above for the reason why there are two data files. If you have any questions concerning the data, please email me: p.p.f.m.v.d.calseyde@uvt.nl
